Pediatric hospital care
If your child needs hospital care, the pediatric floor offers a kid-friendly space to receive remarkable care. While hospitalized, your child will receive expert care from highly specialized pediatric care staff including pediatric hospitalists and pediatric intensivists who will collaborate with your child’s pediatrician to create a treatment plan and follow-up care for your child’s individual needs.

The Hemby Children's Hospital neonatal intensive care unit is a Level IV NICU located in Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, providing advanced medical care to premature and critically ill newborns. Our multidisciplinary team of specialists provides round-the-clock care for all of your baby’s needs.
For critically ill children who need advanced medical treatment, they will receive care from the multidisciplinary team of pediatric specialists in our state-of-the art pediatric intensive care unit. Our PICU team includes pediatric intensivists, pediatric nurses and respiratory therapists with expertise in treating a range of conditions in a supportive, child-focused environment.
When your child needs specialized pediatric care, we provide access to advanced treatments and the expertise to manage a wide range of pediatric conditions. The dedicated Novant Health pediatric specialty care team provides care both in the hospital and at our local clinics.
The St. Jude Affiliate Clinic at Hemby Children’s Hospital, a department of Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, is the only St. Jude Affiliate Clinic in the Carolinas. Our physicians and staff are specially trained in treating children with cancer and blood disorders and work in collaboration with St. Jude to deliver state-of-the-art care. St. Jude produces more clinical trials for cancer than any other children’s hospital, which means you’ll have access to novel therapeutic approaches and innovative clinical trials close to home.

Pediatric Surgery
If your child needs surgery, your child is in the hands of some of the most highly skilled, compassionate pediatric surgical teams. Our team is available for inpatient and outpatient surgical care and follow up for a variety of routine and complex conditions.

Child Mental Health
If your child needs extra support for more serious emotional needs, our skilled child and adolescent mental health experts are dedicated to ensuring your child receives an individualized treatment plan to help them feel better.
