St. Jude Affiliate Clinic at Novant Health Hemby Children's Hospital aims to deliver the best and most advanced treatments available for pediatric cancers and blood disorders. Our practice, along with our physicians and nurses, take part in organizations devoted to advancing care in these fields.
Children's Oncology Group
Our practice is a member of the national Children's Oncology Group. COG brings together physicians, nurses and researchers from hospitals and clinics across the globe. Our patients benefit from the work of doctors worldwide, and the care for children around the world improves because of what we're learning in our office. This association allows us to offer research opportunities and clinical trials on the treatment of childhood and adolescent cancers.
CureSearch for Children's Cancer
We are active in CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a group dedicated to funding pediatric cancer research, including research conducted by COG.
CureSearch also provides valuable information and research to family's affected by children's cancer.
Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Nurses (APHON)
Our nurses are leaders in the Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Nurses (APHON). This national group is dedicated to providing the best nursing care to pediatric hematology and oncology patients. Our nurses have presented at APHON conferences and even started a local chapter to further the organization's work here in the Charlotte, North Carolina, area.
American Academy of Pediatrics
The American Academy of Pediatrics sets forth guidelines and standards for pediatric cancer centers. Our physicians are proud to be active in this highly regarded organization.
Our physicians are very involved in the community. Dr. Bell supports the annual campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and Dr. Bryant has been included in Charlotte Magazine's list of Charlotte's Top Doctors and has won the Presbyterian Physician of the Year award. Dr. Bryant has also been recognized as both Charlotte Business Woman of the Year by the Charlotte Business Journal, and as a Woman of the Distinction by the Girl Scouts, Hornets' Nest Council.
