- Labor/delivery support, including treatments for pain management and resources on what to expect with a C-section
- Inclusive obstetrics services and dedicated maternity surgical suites
- Online and in-person educational services, including maternity, parenting, breastfeeding and childbirth classes
- Lactation and breastfeeding services before, during and after your delivery:
- Support from certified lactation consultants during your hospital stay
- Ongoing breastfeeding and chestfeeding support resources like assessments, private appointments, classes, breast pumps, and feeding supplies and aids
- Partnership with Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center if advanced care is needed
- Newborn services supported by pediatric trained providers, including hearing screening and newborn nursery
- Advanced infant security system
- Professional photography of your newborn that you can purchase to easily share and create birth announcements, gifts, and baby keepsakes
- Doula verification
- Bereavement support
Our Maternity Services
Amenities include:
- Monitoring mom and baby with wireless technology
- Several pain management options for delivery, including nitrous gas and epidurals
- Neonatal nurse practitioners on-site 24/7
- Access to nearby neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center
- Large birthing suites accommodate your care team, which may include a doula. (Doulas should register with Novant Health.)
- All suites are equipped with hydrotherapy, squat bars, birthing peanut and yoga balls.
Our birthing and recovery suites are designed to provide a comfortable, secure, caring environment to labor, deliver and recover all in one suite. Features include:
- Large private bathroom
- TV and wireless access
- Comfortable full-size sofa bed
- Plenty of space and storage
In addition to daily nursing support during your hospital stay, you can visit the Kernersville Medical Center Baby Café while you’re expecting and after delivery for free breastfeeding and chestfeeding classes, events, services and other resources.
