Novant Health Family Medicine Residency Clinic, our primary care ambulatory clinic, brings high quality care to the Charlotte area’s communities.
Huntersville Medical Center
Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center is the primary inpatient/acute training facility for the Novant Health family medicine residency program in the Charlotte region. The hospital opened in 2004 and is located about 5 miles from our administrative offices and ambulatory clinic. Residents of all year groups complete their inpatient rotations there, including:
- Inpatient medicine
- Emergency medicine
- Obstetrics
- Surgical specialties
- Many elective rotations
Huntersville Medical Center provides emergency services for adults and children, as well as surgical, acute and maternity care to the residents of north Mecklenburg County and the surrounding communities.
Presbyterian Medical Center
Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, located just south of Uptown Charlotte, opened in 1903 and consistently ranks among the best in the nation for quality. Services the hospital offers include:
- Adult and pediatric emergency care
- Maternity and neonatal intensive care
- Advanced heart, vascular, neurological and cancer care
- Experimental therapies tested via clinical trials
Presbyterian Medical Center is also home to Novant Health Hemby Children's Hospital and serves as a UNC School of Medicine Branch Campus.
Hemby Children’s Hospital
Novant Health Hemby Children's Hospital, located within Presbyterian Medical Center, opened in 1995 as a specialized facility for children from birth to age 17. It provides:
- General pediatric unit
- Pediatric intensive care unit
- Level IV neonatal intensive care unit
- Adolescent behavioral health unit
- 24/7 pediatric emergency department
Hemby Children's Hospital also treats cancer and blood disorders through its affiliation with the only St. Jude Affiliate Clinic in the Carolinas.
