Katy and her nurse have always been attentive to my needs. They take there time, answer questions and don't make me feel like I'm being rushed through a process.

This was an ER follow-up appointment. When I called to make the appointment, I informed the lady that I was using a cane & had a brace on, that the ER had given me. I then asked her if it was possible for me to call when I got there & asked if someone could come out with a wheelchair for me & she said it was no problem. When I arrived for my appointment there was already a nurse outside & I wave d at her to get her attention, she then helped me get out of the car & wheeled me to the exam room. Katy Johnson's nurse was incredibly helpful, sympathetic, informative etc! After doing everything she had to do, she explained to me that Katy would be in the exam room in a couple of minutes & sure enough Katy did come in the exam room in a couple of minutes. Katy took the time to listen to ALL the problems I was having & then she explained to me what the next steps were going to be for what they would be addressing.

Katy Johnson made me feel my concerns were valid and addressed them professionally. She went above and beyond to make me feel heard and formulate a plan on how to move forward. Katy my PA is excellent along with her nurse Carrie! I have found over the time I have come to Novant Oceanside, the front desk check in people are not very friendly or tired or whiny. No one smiles or takes pride in their job. They are your frontline, they are your customer service for those not feeling well. A smile or act of a compliment or kind word goes a lot further than a conversation between colleagues of how tired they are.
