The Dr was awesome. He listened he explained and he actually seems like he cares. The woman who brought me to my room didn't seem to like me or that may be her personality but it's very off putting, like she doesn't enjoy her job at all. It's like she was annoyed that she had to do an EKG and ask me questions about my medical stuff. The Dr I saw was the complete opposite. He was friendly nice as can be. Awesome Dr all around.

Provider was an hour late getting to me. This is difficult to understand based on it being an early morning appointment.

The staff were very helpful and pleasant and answered questions or concerns and Dr. Murphy listened to me and my concerns and put me at ease.

This was a first new patient visit. Dr. Murphy took time to get to know me and my medical past. He asked several times throughout the visit if I had questions. At the end he gave me a plan for how we would continue my treatment and when he felt was best time for next follow-up. Excited to have Dr. Murphy a part of my care team. krw

Very thorough and punctual. Staff was friendly and professional. Having trouble with computer but explained it was a new system. Dr Murphy was very courteous thorough. He took time to ask questions about my symptoms and explain what and why he was doing the tests he thought was needed.

Finally, insisted to see MD not PA. Have seen MD several times and am not amenable to seeing anyone else who might be more readily available! Why are patients having such difficulty seeing MD's that they have an established relationship with?! This is ridiculous!

All the doctors, nurses, technicians and administrative people at this office are exceptional. They save my life and continue working on keeping me alive. I love every one at this Cardiovascular center. Best of Wilmington and probably North Carolina. They care about their patients. Best is All for them.

It seems that the "system" is under great pressure and it is all a mill attempting to process as many people as quickly as possible rather than focusing on the patient their needs and concerns. I do not blame the Dr's nurses or attendants, they attempt to to a good job but the issues and problems flow from the Admin and corporate control who are focused on profit not quality of care for patients, This is also reflected in the fact you cannot even call and speak to anyone easily. The menu system will attempt to keep the patient in an automated response system. Then "driven" to the internet portal or wait and hope for a return call which may or may not come.

Dr Murphy was easy to talk with and did not rush me through my appointment. He has been very helpful in the past through multiple ambulance and hospital recommendations. His staff and everyone I had contact with was also very kind and helpful.

My total experience was great! My husband went with me to meet my dr and was amazed at how quickly I got in. Also he said Dr Murphy was very informative and nice. As well as the rest of the staff

I like the way the Doctor took his time and answered all my questions. Dr Murphy has always explained what was going on in terms I could understand and thankfully with a great deal of patience.

Dr. Timothy Murphy and his staff were terrific. Having moved into a new home in a new town, I was concerned about who my cardiologist might be and where to find him. I took a shot in the dark with Novant and very glad I did. Dr. Murphy was fantastic. We had a wonderful conversation on a healthy lifestyle to help control arterial disease. He certainly took his time and I did not feel rushed in anyway. The thoroughness of our conversation was all that I hoped for and more.

I have the utmost trust and confidence in Dr Murphy, as he has been instrumental in keeping me healthy since 2008, and always responds to my needs.

The telephone system at this practice is completely unacceptable. The numbers we are given ring for long periods of time without being answered. And then we are told to leave a message which may or may not get answered. This is no way to run a practice. Especially a practice in which you have such good physicians. People will look elsewhere.

Every time I meet with Dr Murphy I leave the office knowing more than when I came in. I appreciate that he take the time to keep me informed.

Communication between staff and provider was insufficient. Reason for visit was not completed due to provider off on day to return for forms being completed for processing.

At check in, the person behind the desk asked me to provide personal information that everyone in the waiting room could hear. When I said I wasn't comfortable saying things out loud, she said I could write them down. She was lovely, but I feel that this office needs to set up better procedures to protect patient confidentially at check in.

I've been a patient of the heart institute and Dr. Murphy since 2012. I've always had good and appropriate care for my heart issues. Dr. Murphy always takes the time to listen to me and to answer any questions I have. I definitely trust Dr. Murphy and his staff with my heart issues.
