I was referred to neurology and the group could not take my referral because they weren’t there that day and the specific referral was out on maternity leave. I was left figuring out who might be covering and when at Brunswick site. No specific person to call or number was left. Very shoddy business service. The intake and exit of the visit needs significant changes. Only one person to do intake and exit. It took longer than the doctor visit. People were quite angry. Something needs to change. Not sure if it’s the person at the desk or the computer system but checking in and checking out is miserable.

My visits with Dr. Halaby are great and informative. I find the communication with the office staff poor and getting some prescriptions refilled in a timely manner a nightmare. This often causes me to go without pain medication, which is unacceptable. No one seems to be able to correct this issue or give a reasonable explanation as to what the issues are.

Dr. Nicholas Halaby is an excellent physician who gives special attention to his patients whether it is via a prearranged appt. with him and/or an express/urgent care visit.

I never saw my doctor, he was off that day so I want to make it very clear, that there is no blame put on him at all... HOWEVER, I WAS NOT put in anyone else's' care and that was totally unacceptable...I had c-diff, there was a lack of communication between Novant and CVS and I was not informed until I actually went in person to the center, that the antibiotic I needed for my condition was not in stock. In addition to that, the treatment I received at Novant was despicable. I was treated like I had the plague, I was told to leave the building and wait in my car. I had put my hand on the counter, when one of the lab techs pushed my hand off the counter.. Had one person taken the TIME or the EFFORT to actually explain to me about c-Diff, it would have been a kind act.. I understand my doctor wasn't in that day, I get that, but it was absolutely inconceivable to me that I wasn't put in the care of another doctor on call!!! That I didn't GET AT ALL!!! Novant greatly disappointed me, as did some of the staff that was on duty that day. I think they need to take a lesson in how to treat a patient!! Kindness goes a long way!!!!

Prices should be tailored to always be covered in total for Medicare patients over 65...like Duke Medical Center 2 hours away. This is and will continue to be elderly retirement community. Word will spread...no need to go to Duke.

I am very impressed with Dr Halaby and his care team. They are very professional and caring when it came to my care. They are very timely in getting back to me and going over all of my test results. They all tried to make sure I received any further testing as quickly as possible. I am very happy with Novant Health Care especially after coming from a larger city where you felt like you were just a number.

I had blood work drawn a week prior to appointment. I reviewed my blood work and noticed that my T 4 free was high. When the Dr came in he asked some questions then stated what else can I do for you? I told him about my high levels ....just wondering why he did not realize or bring this up before I did.

I was told there was an hour wait, but pleasantly surprised I was in to see the doctor within 30 minutes

Excellent first visit with DR Halaby. All staff were professional. Blood draw quick and painless as well.

I went in without an appointment, and taken back for exam within 10 minutes. After meeting with Shy, who was very pleasant and thorough, I was told a Nurse Practitioner would be in shortly. Within 5 minutes, my physician Dr. Halaby entered the exam room. He said he saw I was there and came in to see me. I had just seen him less than 3 weeks before and he wanted to see why I was there. I explained my reason for being there, he listened attentively and examined me thoroughly. He prescribed medication went over what I needed to do at home and to follow up if my condition did not improve after taking the medication for 6 days. All in all, I'm very pleased with the facility, every person I met with and the outstanding care I was given. I will tell anyone who has a problem to use Novant Health Express Care and they will receive first rate medical attention and care. Thank you for allowing me to share this survey with your company.
