The dr that took care of me is the to of the line and I’m Back to this place because of him

We were pressured multiple times to undergo genetic testing even after we declined with the Labcorp representative and explained that, while we understand the statistics and ‘risks’, we do not wish to have these tests. The ultrasound tech was very friendly and professional, however, she pushed the testing on us twice more. The second time felt more judgemental, as she warned that Down’s syndrome is not genetic we’re in danger even though my husband and I don’t have genetic issues in our families. (I am very familiar with the statistics associated with pregnancy at my ‘advanced’ age of 37.) The doctor was also very friendly and informative, and I enjoyed our visit and conversation, but he still pushed the testing despite our having declined it multiple times. While I really liked the doctor and ultrasound tech, I did not feel that my wishes were being respected nor did I feel my voice was heard since we were subjected to this sales pitch multiple times. It felt more like we were dealing with pushy used car salesmen than prenatal care providers. This office is not my primary OB/GYN, and our experience affirms my decision to get away from novant, as I was referred prior to switching providers.

What a wonderful experience with Dr. Imseis — he is the type of MFM I am searching for. Gentle, kind and reassuring. He put my mind at ease, after my horrible experience with Dr. Glover. He acknowledged my previous loss and PTSD, and was actually positive and gave me hope for this sub pregnancy. Only regret, wish I would have met him sooner. Don’t want to forgot to mention the nurse practitioner, whom preformed the early anatomy scan. Who provided reassurance while scanning every body part of the baby. This was incredibly appreciative on my end, rather than a technician not uttering a word. Given my last pregnancy had multiple brain anomalies and the scans were always “silent”; this went a long way for my mental health. Thank you. Kindly, Ilka Reinert

I feel that the care for my babies is forefront, the provider does not assess or evaluate my health during the appointments. As I am the vessel for my babies, it would be helpful if my health were to be discussed and evaluated during my appointments.

Everyone was knowledgeable, informative, and incredibly nice!

Dr explained everything well. Was on the same page as the other drs. Listened to my concerns and help come up with a solution I felt comfortable with.
