This was an "early" morning appointment, there was only about a 5 minute wait time before I was called back. Everything was handled in a timely manner. This was a routine appointment, general health check. I am very satisfied the way it was handled.

My PCP wore a mask. The MA did not wear a mask and was too close to me for my comfort! I mentioned I was surprised Novant was not requiring masks when UNC has had the mask mandate in place for at least two weeks with patient care. I am fighting to live and she said she has done this for 13 years and doesn't need to wear a mask (unless I wanted her to-said at the end of the appt. She did not wear one.) She was also unprofessional when I told her my cancer had spread to my bones and is now stage 4, she said, "Do you know what the prognosis is?" Sad. Surprising. Unprofessional. Of course my prognosis is death, but I didn't need her to raise that question. Even my oncologist has not mentioned that yet.
