I went dreading the test, but the nurse (technician) was awesome and made me very relaxed.

Dr Porter and staff are caring, friendly and very professional.

All Staff and Dr. Porter were professional, polite, knowledgeable, and Friendly. Dr. William Porter also showed caring and concern when I was discussing my personable, sensitive, medical issues and concerns with him. He explained everything to me in detail and gave me various treatment options. He asked me my opinions on varying treatment plans. He explained which he thought was best for my medical needs and the reason why. He asked me if I agreed with his plan or had any additional questions. He gave me information to bring home and read. Dr. Porter then called me the next day to see how I was and if I understood everything about my medication and treatment plan; also asked if I had any questions about the information he had sent home with me. I feel Dr. Porter is an excellent female pelvic health specialist, and I have hope for an improved future as I follow his treatment plan tailored personally for my medical issues. I will be referring Dr. Porter to everyone I know with female pelvic health issues!

I had a CT scan that was ordered by a primary care physician. Dr. PORTER was very helpful in helping me understanding the scan. He made a referral to Oncology and Dr. SCHNEIDER. By the time I got home the staff of oncology had called me to set up an appointment. I had been waiting for 10 days since my primary Dr office said that they would make the referral to oncology. Amazing staff and doctor. I was even given a follow up call by the Dr. to answer questions I might have had after the visit, not to mention the time in office to answer questions. Just a new and unique experience to make me feel comfortable about my health care. Really appreciate the extra time provided, knowing people leave an office and think of things they forgot to ask, and giving them that opportunity to ask those questions. Great experience and again, wonderful office. Highly recommend.

Often you can have a long wait before he sees you. Dr. Porter was doing pretty well with keeping to the schedule.

Dr Porter called me the day after to ask if I had any questions. I haven’t had that by other Doctors.

I was scared of this referral visit. I was not looking forward to possible surgery, nor the in office testing I was going to encounter. However, Dr Porter was EXTREMELY patient and he is very compassionate, empathetic to my hesitation and apprehension. He put me at ease from the start. I did not feel as I was being 'judged' in any way. No fear I had was dismissed, and it was addressed completely. He took all the time I needed in giving him as much information as possible to work WITH me, and not taking the "I know more about your body, and I'm in a hurry" approach which we sadly go through too often. I was relieved to find out I had far more options than my regular gyn advised. He made me aware of numerous treatments before even considering surgery. I left feeling 110% better and more confident about my treatment. His suggestions and advice were very informative! I will continue with him, without any further apprehension or fear. I am well informed of my diagnosis and what to expect in upcoming visits! THANK YOU DR PORTER!!

I appreciate Dr. Porter and his expertise. It has taken me so long to find a provider that is knowledgeable about both Interstitial Cystitis and pelvic floor complications. (Only people that have these diagnoses can truly appreciate the extensiveness of the complications, the difficulty of finding a trusted provider and how defeated it can feel to spin your wheels, visit after visit). I drive an hour both ways to see him twice and I wouldn’t see another doctor closer if I found one.

I hv been living in SC 8 yrs now..Dr Porter is the 1st specialist I hv been referred to that made me truly feel like he was listening to my concerns,rather than hurridly explaining my options and his recommendations..I left w all the.paperwork explaining everything about my particuliar issues and how they are handled surgicallly.Put my mind at ease w his friendly approach, even showing a little humor..I was relaxed talking to him anf he answered every question..The staff was pleasant and professional as well..It also was nice to hv a conversation w another senior that heard me checking out and said that Dr Porter was the best in Charlotte in his specialty..She told me she waa very pleased w her surgery and his care of her..I got a call the next day to schedule my surgery in Jan! Dr Porter has been by far and away the BEST SURGEON I HAVE EVER MET…and I work w surgeons for a living. His attention to detail, personal engagement and thorough-no pressure approach sold me to send my girlfriend to him. Not only did he answer my questions and get to know me in office, but also personally called to follow up the next day to see if I had additional questions after speaking with my husband. I have had a lot of good engagements with your providers, but never have I ever experienced such amazing care at an initial appointment. Additionally he send me a note abt my normal labs post appointment. More physicians should follow his approach…get him to train others and new providers regardless of specialty. Now I haven’t had my surgery yet, so ask me after the surgery, but I have already sent a friend to see him because she has the same issues as I do. I cannot speak highly enough about my impression and engagement with Dr Porter.

My Dr. quickly followed up the next day with a phone call to check and see how changing of medication took affect, or were there any problems.

Actually, I went to Dr. Porter through a referral from my gynecologist. The exam and the explanation of my condition and the possibilities of treatment were very well and clearly given. I felt safe and I am thankful for all the documentations given to me, it is very helpful to make the right choice for the present.

I was impressed with Dr. Porter, he called me a few days after my appointment and asked if I had anymore questions for him. I am 72 and in that time, it’s the first time that ever happened.

The doctor was TWO hours late! I was informed of a delay and offered to reschedule but who knew it would be a Two hour delay.

Dr Porter is not the most friendly attentive person nor does he look at you in the eyes when speaking to you. This was my third visit with him & had the same impression each time. I think that he has too many patients to handle & has No time for niceties! I have had this UTI for the past 3 years On & off with no positive results! Maybe this time this medication will clear things up!
