One issue. I needed labs to confirm diagnosis after this call. I set up the appointment via the primary care liaison. When I arrived for the appointment they could not find me in the system. I left the sample anyway and hope for the best but will be super annoyed if I have to go back a second time.

I waited to talk to my doctor but she was running late. I received two emails telling me she was delayed but I was not checking my email. I usually receive texts, which I was checking. I understand my doctor's delay but would have preferred a text informing me as I was on my phone. I never check email on the phone

Dr Holt is my PCP and has always kept my regular care up to date and I adore her for that. also for her gentle involved way of asking the right questions to make sure any extra situations are addressed. She cares for the whole person and it shows. With this situation she got me a cat scan that day to get a clear picture of a possibly dangerous result that needed timely care. She was careful in her questioning me but never alarming. I felt she had everything in hand as we talked about the next steps. She actually did what could have saved my life in getting a scan.. if there had been a bowel injury. It was clear and she let me know right away and made a suggestion for a gastroenterologist to follow. Her nurse Cyndie was on top of it all getting my appointment right away on a busy week back from both of their vacations. She is also a jewel. I'm feeling like I just found the best care team with them and Novant Myrtle Grove I could have wished for in moving to Wilmington a year ago! Clone them all!
