- Ongoing, free breastfeeding support resources like assessment, private appointments, classes, breast pumps, and feeding supplies and aids
- Care for high-risk pregnancy and delivery (such as gestational diabetes and preeclampsia)
- Emergency obstetrics services and dedicated maternity surgical suites
- Newborn services, including complete pediatric and surgical services, hearing screening and a newborn nursery
- Advanced infant security system
- Doula verification

Located on the third floor of the hospital, amenities include:

- Access to nearby neonatal intensive care units (NICU) at Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital and Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center
Our spacious birthing suites provide a comfortable, caring environment for when your baby arrives. After recovery, bond with your newborn while staying in a private mother-baby suite. Features include:
- Large private bathroom with tubs and shower
- Comfortable sofa bed for your partner
- Rockers
- TV
Your newborn will receive remarkable care at Rowan Medical Center’s nursery, where we have a neonatal nurse practitioner onsite 24/7. If your baby needs a higher level of care than we offer on site, we have access to the vital intensive care your newborn needs.
We are supported by the level IV NICUs — the highest level of care available for premature or critically ill newborns — at Novant Health Hemby Children's Hospital in Charlotte (located at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center) as well as at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
In addition to daily nursing support during your hospital stay, you can access free chestfeeding services and resources, such as on-demand virtual visits, while you’re expecting and after delivery through Novant Health Breastfeeding.
