K-12 Educational Programs

This K-12 Educational program engages K-12 students in each of Novant Health’s markets through exposure to clinical and non-clinical careers and education on wellness and healthy living.

Trekkers (K-5), Voyagers (6-8), and Explorers (9-12)

The three programs address career awareness with appropriate grade level engagement. The primary focus is job shadowing, career mentoring, and facility tours to give students hands-on experiences in healthcare. We are committed to community engagement, career exploration, and leadership development and will utilize Novant Health’s first-class team members and facilities to mentor and immerse students in the world of healthcare.

Career Discovery Series

Virtual tour of careers found in the hospital through dialogue with our healthcare professionals and our critical non-clinical team members that keep our patients safe and provide the best possible care. In these monthly meetings you will learn more about each department and the roles within each department. What is a typical day? What are the educational requirements? Why did they choose their field? Discover an area that interests you.
