  • Radiation-related injury
  • Ulcers (including venous stasis and decubitus)
  • Diabetic foot wounds
  • Bone infection
  • Surgical wounds that aren't healing

  • Skin grafts that aren't healing well

We also treat wounds whose source you don’t know.

Advanced Wound Care Treatments

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a leading-edge, non-invasive medical treatment. This treatment speeds up your healing process by delivering high concentrations of oxygen (hyperoxygenation) to your bloodstream.

Limb Preservation

Our wound care specialists often play an essential role in limb preservation care. As part of a holistic, multidisciplinary care team, they provide specialized treatment for diabetic foot ulcers and other slow-healing wounds before they threaten your mobility or loss of limb.

Negative Pressure Therapy

Negative pressure therapy — also called a vacuum assisted closure — is an advanced wound dressing technique for complex and chronic wounds. Fluid and infection are pulled out of the wound using a suction pump. This reduces swelling caused by trapped fluid (edema) and helps your body heal.

Wound Debridement

Wound debridement is the removal of damaged, unhealthy, or dead tissue from a wound, such as calluses. This helps reduce inflammation and risk of infection and helps you heal better.

Referrals

To enhance your healing and wound care journey, your wound care specialist may give you referrals for other long-term therapies, such as physical therapy.

Skin Substitutes

Human and cellular based tissue products (HCT/Ps) — also called skin substitutes — are bioengineered wound dressings that mimic the makeup and role of your own cells and skin. They can be a minimally invasive alternative to surgical skin grafts to help wounds close, promote healing, and reduce pain.

Get a Wound Care Appointment.

Wound care centers do not accept walk-ins — you must have an appointment to see a wound care specialist. To set up an appointment, either:

  • Talk to your primary care provider to see if you’re a candidate for wound care. They can give you a referral.
  • Call the clinic near you to make an appointment. (Depending on the location, they may direct you to first get a referral from your doctor.)

Conditions treated and services provided can vary by wound care center. Be sure to work with your provider to schedule at the right location for you.
