My experience with Novant Health was a good one. I was a few minutes late because of the weather, and Dr. Ivin saw me without hesitation. I really appreciate him for that because he could have easily turned me away, but he didn’t. Dr Ivin was Professional, Friendly , Sensitive to my concerns and Needs, and Efficient!!! I would recommend my friends and family to Novant Health.

Even though I only saw Dr. Avin for a surgery consult, his thoroughness in explaining the procedure, answering all questions and referring me to another specialist to make certain the surgery is necessary instead of pushing me to schedule has given me complete confidence in him and his opinion. Dr. Avin and all others I interacted with at Novant Surgical were warm and caring, as well as patient and extremely professional - they definitely are the best at putting you at ease when facing medical issues. Everything about scheduling for my appointment was an exceptional - I was contacted within a day after my PCP made the referral. It was a pleasant surprise - and stress reliever - that I had less than a 3 minute wait time after arriving at Novant Surgical before being taken back for my appointment. Hopefully surgery won’t be necessary but if it is, I have complete confidence in Dr. Avin and others at Novant Surgical and highly recommend them without any hesitation.

The doctor was personable and informative.

I felt as if this Dr was in a rush. I got no exam whatsoever for my area of concern. He just wanted to get me scheduled for the procedure. It would have been nice if at the conclusion of his visit, he asked if I had any questions. I’ve worked in the medical field for over 50 years. Ive had surgery in the past in my life, abd I’ve never experienced the rush job that this physician offered up. I am disappointed and am requesting a 2nd opinion.

My daughter attended the appointment with me. She also had questions about family generations history. Dr. Avin ILan also answered all of her questions explaining the difference between my issue and other family members issues. We were both happy after the visit and we both liked him.
